Ravi Bhanot, MBE

“I feel honoured to be awarded a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for Wellbeing and Community Work in Her Majesty The Queen's New Years Honours 2021 List.

The 20 years of health and community work have been the most rewarding of my life. It is nice to see the increase in the number of BAME people giving blood by 25% in the last 3 years and a record number of BAME lives saved with organ transplants in East London. Free CPR training through my co-founded Make It Beat Charity will continue to save lives nationally.

The Award recognises the work done by a whole team of people and I hope this would encourage more people to donate blood and organs and receive CPR training.”
